Food Talk Radio – Futuristic Food

Evogro’s MD Jason Hirst was delighted to take part in a panel discussion on The Food Talk Radio Show. The Radio Show was the perfect platform for Jason to explain the Evogro product and vision for the future. 

Keen fans and avid listeners of the Food Talk radio show the team at Evogro were all impressed by the varied topics covered and the ideas for futuristic food.

The FoodTalk Radio Show was founded by Sue Nelson, CEO of The Breakthrough Group, author of Foodtech UK and founder of TLA FoodTech. Launched in 2016 the Radio Show discusses and highlights the future of food tech, with experts in the food and drink industry coming together to educate and discuss food on a futuristic level. 

Her fellow presenters are Ollie Lloyd, Co-founder and CEO of Great British Chefs. Ollie undoubtedly appreciates and understands the sheer skill, talent and work which goes into producing the finest quality food in the country and Holly Shackleton editor of Speciality Food Magazine.

Host Milano 2019

In October we exhibited at HostMilano (now in its 41st edition) which is the world leading trade fair dedicated to the world of catering and hospitality. Showcasing everything a successful bar or restaurant needs, this event was the first European exhibition that Evogro attended and the feedback we received was tremendous.

The worldwide interest from the hospitality and catering industry about our unique growing system was fantastic. The Evogro team found the common challenges hotels and restaurants had about maintaining their high standards was the continued level of supreme quality food. Naturally the product, service and environmental benefits of an Evogro growing system was incredibly attractive to this sector. 

Attending HostMilano gave Evogro a great insight into the future of the catering and hospitality industry, seeing first hand trends of the future and discussing the challenges and goals for the future.

Insight & Innovation Day – YFood

Evogros MD Jason Hirst was delighted to showcase our revolutionary growing solutions at YFood Insight & Innovation Day in Manchester. 

This event which was held at the Bright Building, Manchester Science Park Ltd and was a chance for like minded food tech companies and innovators to come together and share ideas, join in on workshops and listen to many of the YFood talks. 

Nadia El Hadery, Founder & CEO of YFood welcomed us and gave an insight into her mission for the future of Food Tech. Candidates from start up companies, innovators, hospitality and distributors all had a chance to talk about their vision and the challenges ahead. 

Meeting like minded visionaries and sharing ideas for the future of food tech gave us confidence that the Evogro growing system is most certainly part of this movement and we are excited to develop our new products for 2020 and beyond.

The Essence House, London Cocktail Week 2019

To celebrate London Cocktail week we took part in an innovative event called The Essence House – an interactive journey of flavour discovery, hosted by the originative team at The London Essence Company.

This truly imaginative experience was created by Dan Dove of Global Bartending. Dan identified the complementary pairing between Evogro’s fresh, supreme, quality plants and matched this with The London Essence Company who craft luxurious drinks from the purest flavours – selecting the finest botanicals and gently distilling them to capture their true essence.

Curated by Dr Rachel Edwards-Stuart, an expert in flavour perception in the UK, the guests were taken on a personalised journey through flavour with a series of interactive taste and aroma tests to help identify their own palate profile, followed by a bespoke cocktail mixed by one of the world’s top bartenders. 

Evogro installed four cabinets full of a wide variety of herbs which the bartenders picked as they made the cocktails. It was great to see professionals enjoy using our growing systems and acknowledge the quality of the plants they produce. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and learned a great deal about their personal palate while experiencing high quality cocktails.
